Do you think my friend likes me?

I understand it might look long but its not a dumb question, and anyone who reads it and gives any advice thank you.

I have known her for 5 months, we met at school. After the first week I asked her if she wanted to hangout and she said sure but I could tell it was just to be nice. So we never hung out. Then about a month later she tells me Im not the guy she thought I was Im real sweet and not a jerk. Then she said lets hangout so we have been hanging out alot the last two months. Every time we hangout it feels like we are out on a date. We agree on almost anything, always help each other when were down and can talk about anything. She texts me in the middle of the night saying ''boo are you sleeping I cant sleep'' cause she knows I stay up late. Lately she has been complimenting me alot more and hugging me whenever I say bye. We flirt sometimes. Then last night we hung out at the park, then went to get something to eat, and then say a movie really late. We have had some physical contact before. But yesterday when we were in the movie theater she all the sudden layed her head on my leg and I put my arm on her shoulder, and later on she told me to lay on her lap and she put her arms around me and started rubbing her hands through my hair. It was weird because nothing felt awkward. And this morning she texts me saying I had a dream we were hanging out together. I like her but she has a bf who goes to school long distance and she has talked about breaking up with him, he annoys her and is controlling. Wants her to stay in her house all day. I always ask her you sure its ok if we hangout, She says don't worry what he thinks cause I told him I need my space. I will never let anything sexual between us happen as long as she is in a relationship. She said we have to do this again soon. I don't know what to do since she has a bf.|||I think she likes you but still cant get over her current BF, talk to her seriously , If you both don't try to put an end , this will bother you both and your sweet days will fade away soon. Just talk to her and ask her to make her decision sooner.

good luck;)|||yes she does but shes scared,, she needs some advice be there for her and things will slip into place|||hanging out + flirting = dating|||Hmm I think you should back off... think about it though, how do you know she wouldnt do the same thing if you two were in a relationship, hanging out with some guy one on one texting him and fraternizing to the point where like you said it seems like its a date, she sounds like a player

If that's the case, then confront her, gently, of course. Tell her that you would like to date her, but she needs to figure out her relationship with her bf first. Either break up with him, or you two can no longer hang out the way you've been doing. Important point: assure her that you're 100% serious (if you really are, of course) about furthering your relationship. That way she doesn't feel like she's jumping off a cliff not knowing if there's someone there to catch her.

If you don't really want to date her, then, assuming you're weirded out by her actions, ask her to stop.

Good luck, dude!|||Her current relationship sounds like it definitely won't last, so wait it out.|||If you are both comfortable with one another, stay together. If she is unhappy with her boyfriend, she won't stay with him for much longer, especially if she's into you. Don't let her go.|||you might not like what im gonna say cuz you like her but hear me out.

I don't how she still with her bf and hangs out with you like that. put yourself in his shoes is that the girl you wanna be with.

I think she should do something about her bf before you get with her. Otherwise, you gonna be in her bf's position any moment.

remember it only seems so sweet cuz it's the very beginning of the relationship. every relationship seems so perfect in the beginning! but you never know

Is this Descriptive Enough?

I was once told that a brilliant author tells their story in lots of detail. I want to be an author.

Here is part of my story.

The sky had darkened for the winter months yet here I still sat, staring into the lake, looking for nothing yet searching for everything. I had sat in this exact place at this time everyday for the past three months. I would run from school the moment the bell went and I would just sit and stare, I would watch the fish bob up to the surface looking for a scrap of food, I would hear the squawking of the birds as they set off for somewhere warmer and I would take a mental note of how much more the lake had begun to ice over, I would trace the edges of the lake now covered in ice and I would think about how nice it would be to get trapped under that ice and never have to come up again, this was my sanctuary. But my sanctuary was about to be ruined.

“Hey Christelle,” called Deon as he saw me just sitting there.

“Go away,” I moaned under my breath, he was going to ruin everything for me, he was going to ruin me, whenever he was around he made me feel like hoping, he made me feel happiness and that wasn’t something I could risk feeling.

“What are you doing out here, all alone, without a jacket in this weather?” He was concerned about me, I really wished he wasn’t, I would just hurt him, the thought of hurting sweet, caring Deon made me want to cry.

“I’m thinking about what topic I want to write on for that 5000 word essay we have to write on,” I lied smoothly, to be me, you had to be a good liar.

“Ahh, the essay, I’m doing a comparison between the movie and the book of Frankenstein. What are you doing yours on?”

‘Oh ****, I don’t know. Quick think of something’. “Umm, I’m writing mine on the psychological profile of Adolf Hitler and how if he had the chance to follow his dreams of being an artist then he wouldn’t have become a controlling, power hungry, man who had part in causing the second world war.”

“That sounds complicated, like it needs a lot of research. I only need to read a book and watch a movie. Hey, umm, would you like to,” his question was cut short by his phone ringing, he picked it up looking embarrassed, I just looked out at the lake again and blocked the world away from me, I discretely looked at my watch, ‘Oh Crap, I was late, I was going to be punished, just like I always was when I was late.’ Deon was off the phone and was looking at me expectantly, I realised he had just said something.

“Sorry did you say something?”

“Don’t worry about it, I have to go anyway,” he looked upset about something, “Bye.”

“See you tomorrow,” I said watching him go with tears in my eyes, I just watched him walk away from me not knowing if he would ever come back, I always did that; I pushed people away until they never came back.

As if in sync the tears ran down my face as the clouds began to cry and thunder cracked in the distance. The rain became heavier and heavier and I started sobbing louder and louder until I was absolutely emotionally spent, I looked at my watch which was no longer working due to all the water. I slowly got off the painted green bench and walked through the park, I walked past the lake and through the thin trees that had no leaves, when I reached the gates to the park I ran, I ran past the grafftied shops and the litter strewn highschools and I kept running faster until I was sprinting until I reached my front gate to enter my personal hell and suffer the inevetiable.

This is mine, imagine a copyright sign, (C) of Isobel Trundle.

Is this okay for description. I think it needs more but i need someone elses opinion and i don't want to ask my friends because they may not give me the truth.|||Yes it's real descriptive.

You can already gather a lot about your main character.

Perhaps adding a full stop or two because you tend to make really long sentences- or the use of a semicolon ; here and there to help ?

You can add to it by using some more sophisticated vocab as well- such as replacing 'green' with 'emerald, lime or ivy' or replacing 'I started sobbing louder and louder' with 'I began to cry, trembling sobs escaped me and eventually i was howling with pain...'

Use descriptions to extend the readers minds- the use of imagery when describing the ice on the lake could be further enhanced by using either a simile or metaphor- (look it up if you don't know)

"I would trace the edges of the lake now covered in ice..." describe this better, e.g.:

'I could trace the fresh ice that had sprawled itself across the lake, like long extended branches...'

Your main character is obviously dark with a 'emo' streak if you will, you can use this in your description more because you have written in first person you have this advantage-

e.g. "I walked past the lake and through the thin trees that had no leaves"

try speaking about the surroundings with the character's mood, something like:

'I tread through the park with it's trees as thin as limb children of starvation, soon to die without substance, just a scattering of pitiful leaves on each branch...'

using personification and onomatopoeia are good too. Personify the thunder or other parts of nature 'the thunder shrieked and roared...'

Otherwise sounds good. Just edit bit that could be made shorter by creating new sentences as some are long enough.

good luck.

By the way, these are really EASY questions.

Will the judge throw out this ticket?

Back in December I was t-boned by a police officer in Albany NY. The police officer was responding to a burglary around 10 am. The police officer was driving extremely fast and ran a red light through an extremely busy intersection. Traffic was driving smoothly and I did not see or hear the officer coming. I was almost through my green light when I look over and a police officer smashes my car in. Where he was coming from, there are very tall buildings so there was no way I was going to see him. No other cars were stopped and he came close to hitting other cars and a person as well. I did not hear any sirens all though he stated he had the lights and sirens on. I don't have the money to hire a lawyer but through my own investigating I think at the very least he wrote the wrong ticket. I was issued a ticket for a 1144-A which states this....

搂 1144-a. Operation of vehicles when approaching a parked, stopped or standing authorized emergency vehicle.

Every operator of a motor vehicle shall exercise due care to avoid colliding with an authorized emergency vehicle which is parked, stopped or standing on the shoulder or any portion of such highway and such authorized emergency vehicle is displaying one or more red or combination red and white lights pursuant to the provisions of paragraph two of subdivision forty-one of section three hundred seventy-five of this chapter. For operators of motor vehicles on parkways or controlled access highways, such due care shall include, but not be limited to, moving from a lane which contains or is immediately adjacent to the shoulder where such authorized emergency vehicle displaying one or more red or combination red and white lights pursuant to the provisions of paragraph two of subdivision forty-one of section three hundred seventy-five of this chapter is parked, stopped or standing to another lane, provided that such movement otherwise complies with the requirements of this chapter including, but not limited to, the provisions of sections eleven hundred ten of this title and eleven hundred twenty-eight of this title.

Well this isn't a highway, he was not stopped, he was speeding through an intersection at a busy time of the day with people heading into work. I believe the ticket he meant to issue was an 1144 which states.......

搂 1144. Operation of vehicles on approach of authorized emergency vehicles.

(a) Upon the immediate approach of an authorized emergency vehicle equipped with at least one lighted lamp exhibiting red light visible under normal atmospheric conditions from a distance of five hundred feet to the front of such vehicle other than a police vehicle or bicycle when operated as an authorized emergency vehicle, and when audible signals are sounded from any said vehicle by siren, exhaust whistle, bell, air-horn or electronic equivalent; the driver of every other vehicle shall yield the right of way and shall immediately drive to a position parallel to, and as close as possible to the right-hand edge or curb of the roadway, or to either edge of a one-way roadway three or more lanes in width, clear of any intersection, and shall stop and remain in such position until the authorized emergency vehicle has passed, unless otherwise directed by a police officer.

(b) This section shall not operate to relieve the driver of an authorized emergency vehicle from the duty to drive with reasonable care for all persons using the highway.

Do you agree and if you do can he change the ticket? Even so I still don't believe I am guilty because of the tall building blocking my view, also it states the this does not let the officer drive with unreasonable care, which my opinion he did and very easily could of injured or killed me, him self or other drivers or walking pedestrians. I have pictures to bring to court of the accident as well as they do to prove the buildings are just to tall for me to see the officer for 500 feet. I really don't want to settle to a lesser ticket if I am truly not guilty of doing anything wrong. I had minor injuries from the crash i had to pay a $500 deductible rent a car, I think i have dealt with this enough and to be honest, I might even have a case to sue them but I don't want to bring it that far. I just want it dropped.

What do you think my chances are?????|||Chances are pretty good. Although my LE (Law Enforcement) experience is on the West coast (mostly California), emergency lights and siren REQUEST the right -of-way here, they do not demand it. You as a driver are required to be able to hear the siren and see the lights (i.e. no headphones, excessively loud music (very subjective), or extremely tinted or obstructed windows) However, it is MY responsibility (as the officer) to drive my emergency vehicle SAFELY, especially at intersections where I have a red light, and the other drivers have the green.

You will have to make the case to the judge (witnesses are VERY helpful, if there were any) that you were driving legally, showing due caution, and obeying all laws. The officer cited you for the wrong crime (so you are NOT guilty of THAT infraction at all), However, should the judge find that you WERE guilty of those other things ( unable to see lights due to obstructed windows, unable to hear the siren due to loud music or headphones, reckless disregard for others safety, etc), he can find you guilty of the traffic infraction that you DID commit, even though the officer did not cite for that.|||Clearly you should have been charged under second section. That is a clerical error and will not make the case void. You will need to present evidence that the officer violated (b).

Photographs of the area taken about the same time off day as the accident should help.|||Yes definitely If you Gotta good lawyer and these days The more tickets a cop hands out the better he gets paid check with your DMV

Dog on long leash is like being off leash to the law, what can I do?

so there's suddenly a new leash law in my town, leashes longer than 10 feet supposedly count as the dog being off leash. this does not make sense to me, a leash no matter how long is a leash.

I train in a big field at park close to me, use a long leash to practice obedience/playing something. the length I have is...35-40 ft maybe...

I use a long leash to practice stay and distance commands, usually alone so I have nobody to hold her. a few days ago I'm practicing basic commands with her and we see this cop car drive into the park. I reel her in so she's not hit by the car but it stops infront of us. a officer gets out and coldly explains there was a complaint about a off leash dog? the park's leash law changed so long leashes now count as a dog that's not controlled. dog's must be on leash, but this is ridiculous because as we're talking people walk past us with their off leash dogs and nothing happens. here my dog is on a leash, not bothering anyone and WE get complaints. so it goes that you pay a fine if the leash is too long, more than 2 attempts your dog is taken from you, cannot have the dog back for 30 days. WTF? how can this make sense? it's essential for her to get exercise and training, we have nowhere else to go. :(|||I'm sorry, you might just be out of luck. You may be responsible with your dog on a longer leash but a lot of people aren't. 2 years ago my dog and I were charged by a dog on a 20ft flex leash. My dog Was dog aggressive, so he walked in a heel, on a 6ft leash attached to a halti and another leash attached to his collar (incase he slipped the halti). The lady was back around the corner when her dog saw us and charged aggressively. I ended up falling from my dog trying to protect himself (it wa winter time and we were walking over some ice) and I had to kick the other dog in the face to get him away. my dog got bit, but because of the halti, my dig wasn't able to bite him back.

Most people are not in control of their dog if they are that far away. Almost all counties have off leash dog parks unless you live in the country. I find it hard to believe that you can't find a better one to go to. If you want, message me what town you live in and I will help you look for a better place to go.

Blame the irresponsible pet owners that made this change nessissary. Sorry :(|||What can you do? Obey the law, that's what you do.

Find another park, or consider an indoor alternative.

Or better yet, just keep complaining about how unfair it is to you, and forget everyone else. Keep complaining until someone listens, and changes the rules just to keep you happy.|||And your absolutly correct, i use long leashes to train my dog as well and to get his exercise. As long as your sure your not bother anyone else with your dog, go to your local cop or city building and ask them what to do.

This does seem really weird though!

Good luck! =)|||What can you do? You have NO choice but to obey the new laws in your city.|||In NYC we also have a leash law that requires dog to be on a leash 6ft and no longer. What this is in response to are the idiots who walks their out of control dogs on flexi leashes.

I can not count how many times I personally, have encountered some dogs coming around the corner with the moron owner 15 feet behind them.

Now, I think that flexi's and long lines have a purpose, I myself have put a young dog on a long line in the park, though technically, I know by doing this, I can get ticketed.

If it was me, I would have pointed out the person with the off-leash dog to the cop.

edit: I have never used a long line longer than 15 feet. I have never used a 35-40 foot leash in my local park, I could see how a leash that long can be problematic and no matter how hard you try, with a leash that long, you simply can't real in a dog that quickly.|||As with most things, the few bad apples ruin it for the rest of us. However, it sounds as if the cop who approached you was not "cold", but actually very reasonable...you didn't say anything about having to pay a fine, so did he let you off with just a warning? Doesn't sound cold to me at all.....and in fact, for all you know, the cop disagrees with the law, but he is bound to enforce it, especially when complaints are made.

"the leash may be long but we're always far away from people, always on the edge of the park you have to walk 50 feet to get to us"

Fifty feet isn't very far at all. It's not your private park. Again, it sounds as if you weren't causing problems, but we all know of jerks who let their dogs who let their dogs run up to people and bother them.

And sorry, I don't buy your argument that you have nowhere else to train. Surely there is a neighbor within a couple of blocks of you who has at least a 50 foot yard, and you could get their permission to train in their yard (maybe offer to mow the lawn or something in return). And if your town truly has only 1 park, then it must be a very tiny town...buy a bike, and bike outside of city limits to train your dog.|||"we see this cop car drive into the park. I reel her in so she's not hit by the car but it stops infront of us." If she was out far enough that she could have been hit then she was NOT under your control and I really can understand why the cop stopped you.

Other people doing wrong doesn't justify you doing wrong and complaining about the cop not stopping in the middle of their lecture of YOU to go bust someone else just makes you look like a child.|||Oh absolutely weird. Have you done any postings (facebook) or perhaps talking to people that go into pet stores or to obedience school trainers? When I worked as an assistant at a dog training school in our city, we used long lines all the time to proof the dog's lessons. I think you may have to do some signature collections and get that law changed. That is just wrong.|||that is messed up ... even the extend-a-leashes are longer than 10 feet !!! and everyone who trains recall with distractions uses a long leash ... if it were me i would write to the city ... i would write to a city council person ... and i would contact any and all dog groups to see if you can gain support to fight this ridiculous law ... you might even start a petition online ... because those new "laws" are pretty offensive ... i mean taking someones dog away cuz they bought a perfectly LEGAL leash is not right ...|||A dog that's on a 10'+ lead is NOT under your control, which is the issue. Practice recall and obedience on your own property. If you get cited twice for breaking the leash law that you're now aware of, whose fault would it be if your dog is taken away? I'm sure there are other municipalities with no, or less strict leash laws, so you might consider moving to one of them
