What do you guys think of this story/poem i made?

Growing Pains





at the age of 5 a young boy wanted friends


he merely went over to the nearest person he could find


it was a girl who he found very attractive


"hi!", he said, "i think you have pretty eyes." and he introduced himself


the 5 year old girl laughed and acquainted herself with the young boy


he then said, "i like your smile!" which made her smile even more


stretching out to the point where she was exposing her dimples


in no time at all they were inseperable


always on the playground on the swings


talking about all of life's superficial things


they were bestfriends, even though they didn't know it then


the concept of a best friend was known of


but mysterious to any 5 year old


the chain which held their close bond together would be severed by time





15 years later a young man wanted a companion


he merely went over to the nearest person he could find


it was a young woman whom he found very attractive


"hi!", he said, introducing himself


afterwards he complimented her eyes


the young woman laughed and called him a creep


in no time at all she had left the scene


always in the park, he just thought to himself


about all of life's genuine feelings


confused about those feelings which he could not control


"how am i to learn if i can't share these feelings?"


the same young woman saw him in the distance


he was on a bench with his hands pressed against his head


she could see he was troubled


she went over to him and said, "my friend life is confusing."


"you have to learn how much you can share without hurting other or exposing yourself without even knowing who you are dealing with."


"why is it like this?", he asked


she just looked directly into his hazel eyes for some time


shortly after she smiled widely, revealing her dimples then walked away


only after she had left had he understood that he was was growing


and only he could learn to master himself in order to live


and only after she had departed had he realized


that the woman who had helped him understand
